short artss
Aim of the Short Artss: To encourage & develop artistic talent in various fields amongst our short statured members of all ages, i.e. visual arts, music, drama, craft, literature, film, etc.
Purpose of the Short Artss: To encourage & promote artistic development by: - providing environments where we can work together on a group piece, i.e. performance, mural, etc. - encouraging members to gain further artistic skills as well as sharing/teaching knowledge of such skills amongst members.
Strategies of the Short Artss: To form a collective (not committee) of artists who would have the opportunity to exhibit/perform works at SSPA Conventions/gatherings. Setting up regular correspondence & display of works/ideas via Internet &/or SSPA Journals. Providing opportunities at Conventions/gatherings for learning new creative skills.
Short Artss at the 2004 Phillip Island Convention
At this years convention we are planning to present an exhibition of works by our creative short statured members. We are also planning on presenting a theatrical production towards the end of the week. This group production will be the end result of ideas/suggestions worked on and written into a storyline/script and will rely on individual talents of the Short Artss group members. Ideally it will feature elements of music, drama and dance. Hopefully this will get the cogs turning and creative juices flowing. Stay tuned for further details in upcoming journals.
Budding writers, poets and songwriters/musicians start working these ideas out now! We already have Sarah Whitaker on board.
Kind Regards,
Carly & Lynelle
