This is an honour only conferred once previously, and that was to Rosemary Hobbs, one of the founders of the LPAA, and a tireless worker on behalf of its members.

However, at the AGM in Tasmania (1994), it was moved and carried unanimously that Life Membership be granted to John & Margaret Davidson.

John was Secretary of the National Council for some years, and Margaret served as Editor of the Journal for a considerable time. They have both been towers of strength in organising several Conventions, in particular the one on the Gold Coast, Qld.

Over the years, John has provided many raffle prizes resulting in successful fundraising for the Victorian Group. Through his contacts with Coles-Myer Ltd., John arranged for the LPAA Journal to be printed at no cost to the Association over a period of 13 years. This is estimated to have saved the Association almost $30,000.

We are very grateful and congratulate them on this recognition of their considerable contributions.
