s.s.p.a. national conventions

The Short Statured People of Australia hosts a 5-day annual national convention held in turn in each state of Australia and organised by each host State branch of the S.S.P.A. The National Conventions have been held annually since 1968. Registration is open to all current and new members of the S.S.P.A. as well as prospective members and short-statured people from overseas

The Convention programme generally provides a mix of business, medical, social and tourist activities designed to bring short-statured and average-sized members closer together in friendship as well as promoting a better understanding of short stature and short-statured people. The programme includes the National Annual General Meeting and a Dinner Dance which plays host to the presentation of the McHugh-Henderson Award.

National Conventions are held in the September/October school holidays each year.
