2008 albury sporting weekend
 


The 13th Annual SSPA Sporting Weekend will be held over the Queens Birthday long weekend: Friday 6 June to Monday 9 June 2008.

The program for the weekend is as follows:

Friday 6th June:

3.00pm onwards      

Arrivals.
Dinner at own leisure (Lake Hume Resort Restaurant is well recommended)

Saturday 7th June:

2.00pm – 4.00pm   

Basketball begins at Wodonga Indoor Sports Stadium with a match between the teens and kids. The NSW vs. Victoria Basketball Match will follow.
Then the parents and average height teens will have their chance to show off their skills in a parents vs. teens match. 

7.00pm                    

Dinner and dance in the function room of the Lake Hume Resort.
Dinner includes a two course meal (prices to be advised at a later date). A juke box with a variety of music will be available.

Sunday 8th June: 

10.30am – 12.30pm

 Indoor hockey & soccer games at Wodonga Indoor Sports Stadium.

12.30pm                

 Lunch at the Blazing Stump Hotel (at own expense).

3.00pm                 

 National Council Meeting or free afternoon for those not involved in the meeting. 

7.00pm                  

A night in the BBQ pit, with games and fundraising activities to follow. Cost for the dinner will be advised shortly (approx. $10.00).

Monday 9th June: 

am Departures.

Accommodation

We will be staying at the Lake Hume Resort (tel. (02) 6026 4444), Riverina Hwy, Albury. Individuals are required to make their own bookings directly with the Resort. Mention that you are part of the SSPA group and you will receive a 10% discount. Room rates vary, depending on the type you choose.
