About the s.s.p.a.

The Short Statured People of Australia (S.S.P.A.) is a non-profit, self-help organisation that provides support and information for people of short stature (dwarfs) who don't (or won't) reach the height of 150 cm. (4"11") at maturity, parents of short-statured people, siblings of short-statured people, and other interested members of the community.

Our main aim is to assimilate people of short stature into society with the goal of equality of education and social status, and of employment opportunities.

The organisational structure consists of a National Council and State branches. These branches are based in four states - New South Wales (including the Australian Capital Territory), Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, as well as a regional group in North Queensland.

It currently has a membership of about 130 members both in Australian and overseas, of which approximately 80 are short-statured people.
