Small Talk’ – the SSPA’s Official Radio Show on 3CR (855AM Melbourne).

Educating, Promoting, Exploring… giving you a better understanding of the lives of people with dwarfism. Exploring the highs, the lows, the trials and tribulations – and let’s not forget the never ending achievements. So for 30 minutes, we invite you to see the world through our eyes. On 3CR Radio 855 on your AM dial – Small Talk – airing from 6 to 6.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month.

Program summaries so far:

 

 The 1st show aired on Wednesday 1 June 2011
Hosts: Margherita Coppolino and Sam Millard.
This show included Meredith Tripp’s interview with Rosemary Hobbs about how the SSPA started and Oliver Lynch’s interview with Leanne Wegener about the Albury Sporting Weekend.

The 2nd show aired on Wednesday 6th July 2011  
Hosts: Graci Lynch and Meredith Tripp
This show featured a discussion around the use of appropriate terminology with the aim to create some clarity around the terms used to describe people of short stature. It includes Margherita Coppolino’s interview with Dr. Helen Szoke, Commissioner, Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission.

The 3rd show aired on Wednesday 3rd August 2011
Hosts: Oliver Lynch and Jonathon Tripp
This show talked about sport with a special guest interview with Lindsay Gaze.
