2012 SSPA National Convention
Venue – Elanora Conference Centre, Elanora Heights, N.S.W.

The New South Wales Branch will be hosting the 45th SSPA Convention and is inviting all members and their friends to attend.
The Elanora Heights Conference Centre is on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. It is set in 8 hectares of beautifully landscaped and natural bushland overlooking North Narrabeen beach.
The Convention starts on Tuesday 2 October, running through until Monday 8 October, most of which is within school holidays for the majority of states.
We’re still fine tuning the itinerary and may need to change it further still, but any further changes will be very minor. Changes will be on our website. We’ll certainly be having a busy week which should contain plenty that appeals to everyone.

Accommodation & Facilities
The accommodation will be in cabins, with bunk beds & en-suites. The cabins look out onto the beautifully landscaped bushland surrounding the site. Linen, blankets and towels are available to hire, they’re $17 for the week.
At the site, there is a large swimming pool and wading area, large recreational oval, beach volleyball court and outdoor picnic tables, BBQ facilities and bushwalking tracks in adjoining public reserves.
Transport, Registration & Prices
The centre is in Elanora Heights Sydney’s Northern Beaches, which has no train station nearby but buses are available from the city. For those driving from out of Sydney, it’s approximately 30 mins from Hornsby, 90 mins from Liverpool or Penrith. If you’re flying in, the trip from the airport is about 1 hour. We’re looking into transport arrangements for the airport.

We’ve finalised the pricing for the week. We require a deposit of $100 AUD per person by Friday, 31 August 2012. All the details regarding pricing are on the registration form.

SSPA Travel Allowance for the 2012 Convention
The SSPA Travel Allowance subsidises financial short statured members who are attending the Convention. This includes children, covered under their parents memberships.
Members must be staying onsite for the duration of the Convention, to be able to receive this allowance.
