Membership

Membership of the Short Statured People of Australia (S.S.P.A.) is open to:

• Short-statured people
• Parents of short-statured people
• Families
• Interested members of the community in Australia and overseas.

Membership entitlements

Membership entitlements include:

• Six issues of the S.S.P.A. Journal per year.
• Travel subsidies for short-statured people to attend the annual National Conventions.
• Discounts on National Convention registration fees
• Access to the S.S.P.A. Library.
• Access to the Careers and Vocational Guidance Fund: The SSPA’s Careers & Vocational Guidance Fund was established to assist people of short stature, whether it be in education, their careers or personal circumstances.  Assistance is given at the discretion of the trustees.
• Advice and expertise from medical specialists and geneticists on the Professional Advisory Board.
• Opportunities to attend Short Stature symposiums.
• Opportunities to participate in competitive sporting opportunities with those of a similar stature.

Membership classifications and annual fees

Membership classifications and annual fees are as follows:

Subscription	Annual
Short-statured Person: Short-statured person(s) aged 18 years and over.	$40 (Aust.)
Parent/Guardian Member: One parent or guardian of a short-statured person under 18 years of age, and short-statured dependant students [membership includes the short-statured person(s)]	$40 (Aust.)
Family Membership: Both parents or guardians of a short-statured person under 18 years of age and short-statured dependant students [including the short-statured person(s), and dependant sibling(s)].	$70 (Aust.)
Associate Member: Any interested natural person who does not come under any of the previous categories above.	$40 (Aust.)
Corporate Member:	$40 (Aust.)
International Member: Short-statured person(s) aged 18 years and over from overseas countries.	$40 (Aust.)
Life Member: Any S.S.P.A. member who has made a significant contribution to the Association over a sustained period of 20 years or more can be nominated for life membership.	No fee

 Please note: A discount of 10% applies to a new member in any of the membership classifications for the first year.
